Hi, I’m Nicholas Salyer.  How are you?  All is well within the modest theater troupe of Feel Arts Staging + YER Productions.  I’ve been independently running with YER for almost a decade now.    As an independent producer, always an actor, a director of late, writer, designer, etc.  Of the stage plays produced I began with the message “creating theater arts with the community for the community.  That work continues today without fail.  

My journey into the theater and its art began during the early days of grade school and played all over the map in spaces such as the United States, Germany, and China.  Again my education continued with studies at the University of New Mexico with much focus on acting and original new plays along with the prerequisite studies of what came before us. From huddling around the fire in a cave somewhere to the present state of storytelling in its variously unique spaces, we learned the history of storytelling in the theater art form.  I’ve been fortunate to work on over 90 productions.  Some theater companies I’ve had the honor of working with throughout my community theater career are SCRAP, Shakespeare on the Rail, Beowolf Alley, Live Theater Workshop, Beacon Theater, From Stage to Screen, Piquant Productions, Cocoon Theater, Theater on the Road and DykemanDonovanTheaterLab among many others.  

Having discovered after acting in many roles that independently produced theater is where it’s at.  I’ve also been gifted to know and learn from several mentors of the theatrical arts that are no longer with us today.  Among the many details of the work, they taught us never to forget our job as theater artists.  All of my mentors have this in common.  Never forget that our job is to tell the story.  That’s it.  We are storytellers, just like there were storytellers around the fire in the cave somewhere at night after another tremendously strenuous day of survival.  Carol Elkins, Thomas Enger, and Michael Fenlason are these original great storytellers that taught me a few things.  So many more people still with us today have also shared with me their art so that I may share it with you as well.  I intend to do that.  Share the stories and the theater art until like my predecessors I am in another existence perhaps.  Thank you for allowing me to bend your ears a bit!

1. Pan Luoyi is engaged in TV and film production.

Pan Luoyi was born into a literary family. Her second

grandfather was a prominent Chinese educator, writer, and founder of China's first news media, plus the publishing house that created China's first writer. Many Chinese authors, including the Wen Yi duo and Pan Luoyi, were fortunate to have learned television production in a series of TV production courses by the founder of BBC there. They also studied film scriptwriting in the master class of well-known Hollywood screenwriters.

In 2006, Pan Luoyi became a shareholder and operator of Canadian Green TV, a global documentary and network

documentary channel satellite, jointly created by the Canadian National Television Director's Organization, a prominent Canadian writer and UN official Ron, plus China's Education TV. In addition to the operation of green TV, Pan Luoyi is responsible for TV editing, column re-production, and packaging, as well as market operation and business development at green TV.

In 2007, some of the Americans who organized the Discovery Channel ran a TV and film production company that produced an extensive number of video stories for a variety of clients. They also edited and produced a series of documentaries. In 2008, Pan Luoyi served as production editor of musicals plus co-produced plays such as "The Rubik's Cube". In 2010, Pan Luoyi began work for the TV series, and doctor-patient series, and was a playwright, who wrote mythological stage plays, sci-fi, fairy tale original short films, and movies. Pan Luoyi also cooperated with International TV Lan Hai Yun for a series of television documentaries and served as TV text writing/editing and choreography in 2014.

2. Pan Luoyi is the founder of the Shanghai Phil Culture and Art Co., Ltd. In November 2004, she planned and executed a concert with the Shanghai Opera House, with their collaboration. The performance broke the conventional musical form and demonstrated the charm and allure of Shanghai-style music. In the same year, the Westing Club, in the United States, held a concert to commemorate the Beatles. They reproduced a vivid concert. The American Westing Club opened again in 2009 with a tribute to the music group ABBA. Friends and musicians associated with ABBA were invited, to commemorate this brilliant group.

In 2006, Pan Luoyi participated in the World Jazz Festival and performance planning activities, sponsored by Bavaria Non-Alcoholic Beer throughout the process, and also sponsored by the Lu wan District Government. Later, the Shanghai Jazz Festival became the most prominent jazz festival in Shanghai. Pan Luoyi also helped with the World Jazz Festival and arranged performances for the opening ceremony of the Wuxi Municipal Art Festival.

Pan Luoyi contributed to the planning of the opening ceremony performances and activities of the Centennial Celebration of Chinese Film of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, and Television. In 2008, she also arranged various activities for the Beijing Municipal Government's Olympic Games. Pan Luoyi similarly planned and executed the performing arts activities for the closing thank-you meeting of the F1 world racing competition held in Shanghai.

Catering company Owl planned and implemented the opening promotion activities of the F1 world racing competition, promotion activities for the press conference of the Korean wall decoration brand entering the Chinese market, activities for the British Embassy, the British

 

 Business Association, the branding for Mercedes-Benz Promotional activities, the event for the annual meeting of Wan Ke Company, the advertising and performing arts activities for their new real estate launch conference, plus various activities for the largest horticultural exposition in China, in addition to planning the brand launch event.

Pan Luoyi is also an expert at planning large-scale stage programs, theatre/designing creative visions, producing various creative videos, and writing literary works, commercial creative publicity articles, and music production. Pan Luoyi has 10+ years of stage experience. With familiarity as a theatre program producer, she is also a senior business art coordinator and producer, with knowledge in event planning, execution/brand launch, plus brand promotion and execution.

Pan Luoyi received her MBA in business education at Jiao tong University in 2010. She participated in various business projects, combat activities of entrepreneurs' practical experience education, entrepreneurs' business project creation process from 0 to 1, and spent business time with them, mastering business operation skills.

3. Pan Luoyi's resume in music art: Pan Luoyi studied classical music, including opera, with her father since a child, and then later studied at Xing Zhi Conservatory of Music, now Shanghai Normal University. Pan Luoyi started performing on Shanghai TV at the age of 12. She performed in Shanghai, Sponsored by Casio, and won a gold medal in a TV competition. At the age of 15, she met Huang Rui Cheng, the president of BMG Asia, who commended her distinctive and refined tone. Later, Pan Luoyi was signed by the founder of Hong Kong's Red Ink record company, and the famous British president of Reuters, making jazz records with an Asian cultural style. Due to the restrictions of the British Land Contract, the two parties adopted a loose cooperation model. Then a famed British composer invited Pan Luoyi to travel to the UK to record R&B albums, yet went uncompleted due to visa difficulties.

In 1996, Pan Luoyi cooperated with Malaysia's platinum record sales award winner for ten successive years. Li Jun Xiong, songwriter of Teresa Teng's Don't Pick Wild Flowers by the Road, who appreciated the love song and praised Pan Luoyi's special voice. Lv Zhen Huang, the producer for Dick Cowboy and Qi Qin, invited Pan Luoyi to Taiwan to develop her singing career. Due to a lack of smooth communication between the mainland and Taiwan, Pan Luoyi did not accept the invitation. Later, Mr. Lu and Pan Luoyi became close friends.

In 2003, the Singapore branch of Ticket Master was interested in signing a record and performance contract with Pan Luoyi. In 2005, she was favored by Michael Sullivan, the famous Hollywood TV drama producer of Growing Pains, and was invited to Hollywood for development. At that time, she knew Luddy and decided to go to Chicago to record JOMO's record with an American music producer. Pan Luoyi did not contact the Hollywood TV producer.

With a relationship introduction, Pan Luoyi and Le Di opened the door for China's gold medal producers with Music Works. Zhang Yadong was moved by JOMO's music when he saw Pan Luoyi and Luddy perform. Because Zhang Yadong was a month late in replying to Music Works, Pan Luoyi signed a contract with the Chinese musicians' Yang Kun and Chen Lin's company, Bamboo Book Records. In the first year of the contract, Pan Luoyi and Luddy's recorded songs in the United States won the Best Artist Award and the Best Song Award.

In March 2007, Pan Luoyi was invited to join in the televised concert of Chinese singers on Phoenix Satellite TV, celebrating the return of cultural relics to the 300th anniversary of the Yuan Ming Yuan summer palace In October 2007, Pan Luoyi decided to terminate the contract with Zhu Shu because the company seized all the expenses for her performance.

 

 Zhang Yadong Company and Universal Music Company formed a cooperation company, and Dongle Music is issued by Universal Music. JOMO recordings are also included in the world's electronic music classic albums by Universal Music. In 2010, the JOMO electronic band, formed by Pan Luoyi and Luddy, won the uppermost music award in China: Best Electronic Artist Award, Chinese. The Golden Melody Award is equivalent to the Grammy Award in the U.S. JOMO had opened a new page in Asia as China's first world and international pioneering electronic music label.

Pan Luoyi signed a contract in 2014 with China National Music Base/Shanghai Audio and Video. This organization is a music label co-founded by Sunny, a principal member of the management of EMI Records in Asia, and Zhang yan bin, founder of Rolling Stones Records. It is a music label promoted by the Shanghai government, nurturing music careers. Pan Luoyi moved to San Diego CA in 2017 to start a new journey, and then later established JOMO Media and Music Studio in Las Vegas NV

4. Experience as a film and TV actor:

Pan Luoyi worked as a print model for magazine advertisements at 15 years old, and participated in the shooting of magazine advertisements, in multiple professional images and roles of Chinese families and women. Pan Luoyi was in many Chinese films. One of the most well-known is People About Twilight, in the role of the female singer. Pan Luoyi also participated in the filming of numerous TV series, such as fans love: as a secretary who cares about the boss, a hospital nurse in a doctor-patient TV series, and numerous others.
